Garden Note: Pineapple Tops

Lately, I haven't been able to bring myself to toss pineapple tops, so I plant them. I always manage to find a pot to put them in . Some are even planted with other plants, like the Avocado tree and do well. Although none have produced fruit yet, I learned patients from gardening, in time it brings lots of unexpected surprises.

The pineapple tops are growing through out the house, some doing better than others. I really like the tropical look of the plants placed in the bathroom around the tub. These seem to do the best I'm guessing because of the warm moist air in the room.

Pineapple plants are easy and fun to grow and do well in containers, so that my new obsession doesn't get out of hand I'm thinking of giving some away as  gifts to family and friends.
