Power Tool Babies
This is crazy, right ... we are mad late bloomers when it comes to power tools. Hubby and I are used to fixing things the old fashioned way. If we needed a hole in something we use a hammer and a nail, no kidding, and if it was plastic, we simply heat up the screw driver and melt a hole in it. (please don't try this at home. The fumes are horrible.) or a hand saw to saw some wood or we would hold something together with nails, duct tape and hot glue, rope, twisties etc. It's been a good thing for us that there has not been anything major to fix.
Primitive, plain and simple. Mostly all the projects I have done as a creative (Artist, diy selfer, improv projects etc) have been done using the previous methods and tools.
But now we've been bitten by the the power tool bug and there is no stopping us. Last year it was a chain saw to cut some logs from a fallen tree in the back. We realized a handsaw wouldn't cut it - no pun intended and now its a power drill.
Waiting for it to be shipped would have been a little to long for us , so Hubby looked it up online then went out to purchase it at the super center for about a hundred or so dollars.
It might not seem like a lot to some but we are thrilled just to have one, and with so many extras that came with the kit, like the drill and screw driver bits everything is gonna be on our project hit list.
Nothing to say about the performance, because we haven't used it yet but I will give an update on this in the near future.
Now, where should we begin? @/@
