Spring Things: Look What Spring Has Sprung in the Garden

Nature in spring is amazing!
Without lifting a finger yet, or planting and seed, so far our garden is already at work and these are some of the perennials that have sprung up this spring  2015, in our container garden.

Black Berries 3 year old plant producing shoots.

Moss. I have to research this, but I love seeing this grow.

Thyme. It made it through the winter, to my surprise.

Strawberry planted from a strawberry I laid in the soil last summer.

Not sure but I think its a Beet ???

Raspberry from last summer. can't wait for these to fruit!

Kiwi also from 2014 summer, among those that I thought would freeze but made it through. Amazing!

 Mystery plant. Violet? we'll see!

 Another berry ...

 Mint

More Kiwi sown in with the mint. I'm hoping it will hang and grow over the side of the deck.

Potato... planted last month and doing well ....
I just threw them in to see what would happen,  that's my planting style
...lol... we will see.

A different type of Strawberry I've had for sometime now.
These are probably better off in the ground because they only produce small strawberries.

Dandelion to harvest for organic dandelion tea. Lots of health benefits...see here

A Pear tree...

Kale.  Have to have our kale.

 Some Onions ...

Clover in a container for teas.

 Lots of Sage ...

Collard greens I stuck the stems (from store bought greens) in the soil last winter ... they'll be ready for a nice harvest, soon.

Chickweed it's everywhere and I use it for everything from teas to shampoos and salves.
 Good multipurpose plant.

That's some of the plants that spring has sprung and winter has preserved for our increase and abundance.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.Psalm 67:6
