SideTable

This is a shot of my side table beside my bed.  I had imagined a dreamy scene of bird cages and bird nest I had collected and some really special ones that where given to me as gifts. Creating a scene like this is something I wanted to do for sometime but had no ideal how I would put it together. Turns out it was really easy and very enjoyable. As I began, I started with what I had and loved, my birds nest and cages. Then other possibilities began to emerge that I thought would fit. I dug out an old trinket box I made some years ago, to add to it and a vintage clock and then added some dried yellow roses in the background towards the window. Then a couple of jewelry boxes that belonged to my mother, stacked on the side. And another thing and another thing until my eye was satisfied...somewhat...at least at that moment. And as of this writing , two or so weeks later, I have added small pictures of my children to the large handmade bird nest and an old patina brass bell. Keeping with the theme, vintage and natural, this project may never be quite finished. I might come across something that will fit the scene perfectly making it more dreamy and picturesque than before as I update my side table...The dream has just begun!
